The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation reaches a new level
The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation supports five projects of great social importance: Autism. One world for all, the charity bike ride Burabike 2018, the Batyrkhan Shukenov Foundation, The Association of Parents with Disabled Children (APDC), and cooperates with the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan.
Autism: One world for all
Marat Aytmagambetov, the director of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, said that the Foundation is currently involved in the development of several non-profit projects, and since last year, they began working in many different directions.
The purpose of the first and the most large-scale program Autism: One world for all is to create and integrate the progressive system of medical help for children with autism who live in Kazakhstan. Several autism centers known as Asyl Miras were opened in six cities (Almaty, Astana, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kyzylord, Uralsk, and Aktobe) within the framework of this program. Last year, the Foundation developed a special database which helps to monitor the progress of development of children with autism.
Burabike 2018
The charity bike ride known as Burabike is a joint project of the Rixos Borovoe hotel and the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation which takes place in Schukinsko-Borovoe recreational zone on the annual basis. The main objective of Burabike is to raise money for financing and realization of various charity projects aimed at improving the physical condition of children who undergo treatment and rehabilitation at the national medical and social institutions. 472 million and 350 thousand tenge were raised over the course of five years when the charity bike ride was held.
In the memory of Batyrkhan
In April 2018, the Foundation named after Batyrkhan Shukenov signed the cooperation agreement with the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation. The latter agreed to allocate a grant of 70 million tenge. The agreement provides for the simultaneous realization of four unique projects with the 1st Republican Contest for Musicians Who Play the Wooden Wind Instruments being the most important. This contest is dedicated to Batyrkhan Shukenov. All musicians aged from 16 to 32 years can participate in this contest. The prize fund is estimated at around 6 million tenge. According to organizers’ plans, the contest would be held once every two years.
A tranche of $300 thousand to the Red Crescent and $1 million for disabled children
According to Elena Kim, the general director of the Red Crescent in Kazakhstan, the cooperation with the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation was both unexpected and very efficient. In the spring of 2018, the organization made a joint effort to help people who suffered from floods in the Eastern regions of Kazakhstan. All victims of the natural disaster received special banking cards from ForteBank. 861,690,000 tenge were transferred to 863 families. Each family member received 30 thousand tenge. Moreover, the Foundation granted 330 million tenge to build the Center for intensive rehabilitation and early intervention for children with ICP as well as a training center for medical staff. The Center will host 300 children aged from 0 to 14 years, and it was opened in June.
